Moving mountains in China

When Graham Kwan first laid eyes on the Sun Mountain Yabuli ski resort in northeast China, his impression was that it was "an absolute pig."The mountain's sole hotel was located just far enough from the base that it couldn't be reached on skis, and its floor was speckled with dead bugs. Things weren't much better on the slopes, where snow conditions were patchy and the grooming machine was held together with duct tape.
