Employers pay lip service to work-life balance

Over-worked Canadians who want to spend less time at the office and more at the family dinner-table feel that employers don't really care about helping them achieve work-life balance, a study released Tuesday says. According to a poll by Desjardins Financial Security, nearly 80 per cent of Canadians said they don't consider themselves to be "workaholics." When asked what they valued above all else, 54 per cent said family, 25 per cent said honesty, and 23 per cent said good health.
