ABCP credit crisis spells big trouble for Caisse

MONTREAL — The imposing Henri-Paul Rousseau must have celebrated his fifth anniversary last week as head of the equally daunting Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec with mixed emotions. No Caisse chief executive has transformed the institution - for the better - as thoroughly as Mr. Rousseau. Yet the controversy that inevitably dogged, and sometimes undid, most of his predecessors has spoiled his fifth anniversary party.
