Forzani adds Athletes World to holdings

Forzani Group Ltd. , the country's largest sporting goods retailer, has snapped up the troubled Athletes World chain out of bankruptcy protection, succeeding in an acquisition where retail titan Michael Gold had faltered.
Mr. Gold, who owns Suzy Shier, Bluenotes and other chains, had a deal to buy Athletes World earlier this year but it fell through in October over a tax dispute, court documents said.
