Russia? Mexico? What's the next Ukraine?

China was near the top of global markets in 2007, surpassed only by Ukraine. Now, the question becomes which countries are expected to be the leaders in 2008 and perhaps more importantly, what does the year hold for global markets, particularly the emerging markets? Ukraine's PTS index climbed 135 per cent over the year, handily beating China's benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange composite index, which soared more than 96 per cent.
