From blueberry king to telecom baron
For decades, Nova Scotia's John Bragg was known as the world's wild blueberry king, as well as a processor of carrots and other food commodities. Now, he boasts another title - communications baron.
Last year, Mr. Bragg, who has owned cable TV licences in Nova Scotia since 1971 and built EastLink into a regional force, jumped into the No. 5 rank nationally with the acquisition of Persona Communications. The deal doubled the size of his cable operations.
