Roots relieved to be away from Olympic glare
As protests disrupted the Olympic torch relay in Paris Monday, Roots Canada co-founder Michael Budman said he's just as happy to hand over association with the U.S. Olympic team to Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. because of discomfort over China and human rights.
"The Olympics represent something different to me now," said Mr. Budman, whose company parted ways with the U.S. team in January, leaving Roots with no corporate ties to the Olympics.
