Sports retailer West 49 reports a loss

BURLINGTON, ONT. — West 49 Inc. has tumbled to a full-year loss of $2.4-million, down from a prior-year profit of $4.1-million, as the company booked a big writedown on its Off The Wall stores.
Sales increased 4.9 per cent to $204.9-million from $195.3- million.
Same-store sales were down 4.
