Naps kept Gottlieb unaware of Livent's plans, lawyer says

TORONTO — Myron Gottlieb has long had a reputation as the shrewd businessman behind the success of Livent Inc. in the 1990s, providing financial expertise while creative partner Garth Drabinsky developed the company's successful theatre productions. On Tuesday, however, Mr. Gottlieb's own lawyer sought to change that reputation at the fraud trial of both men in Toronto.
