Time to cut back: Try the $31,000 bag instead

Two matte-finished crocodile Birkin bags sit sparely and artfully in a display case. One is priced at $41,000 and the other at $31,000. Why? Because the former is porosus and the latter is niloticus, and if you want to learn about luxury branding you had better know your skins.
