Bidding in wireless auction pushing $4-billion
The Canadian Press
MONTREAL Bidding was pushing $4-billion in Canada's wireless spectrum auction that's aimed at bringing more competition to the domestic cellphone market.
Rogers Communications Inc. was leading the way with a $900.9-million bid for 53 licences.
Industry Canada says Telus Corp. had bid $816.4-million for 57 licences.
Bell Mobility had bid $680.3-million for 49 licences.
