ABB names GE Healthcare chief Hogan CEO

ZURICH ABB appointed Joseph Hogan as its new chief executive, heralding what analysts said could be a fresh round of acquisitions by the cash-rich Swiss-Swedish engineering group.
Investors cheered the move and ABB shares rose almost 4 per cent on news of the long-awaited replacement for Fred Kindle, who shied away from deals and was pushed out in February after a clash with chairman Hubertus von Gruenberg.
