Loblaw pushes home-grown message

Loblaw Cos. Ltd. on Friday launches a major marketing campaign to promote its locally grown fruits and vegetables as the grocer aims to bolster its produce sales by at least 10 per cent. The company is investing more in labour to prepare the stores for the campaign which will feature executive chairman Galen G. Weston appearing in commercials and speaking to farmers that supply the stores, said Mike Venton, senior vice-president of produce at Loblaw.
