A scarcity of off-site server space for smaller Canadian businesses has opened up an investment opportunity, Canaccord Adams says. “Canada's data-centre infrastructure is fragmented, and the key urban centres now lack capacity,” analyst David Lambert wrote in a report. Data centres are large, climate-controlled warehouses full of computer servers. A business outsources network services to the centre, eliminating the need for in-house equipment and expertise.
