Corel receives buyout offers: sources

SAN FRANCISCO Consumer software developer Corel Corp. has received multiple preliminary offers from private equity firms and strategic buyers, two sources familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
Corel shares rose nearly 16 per cent on the news.
These proposals came after Vector Capital Corp.
