Jim Sst from 700th Mission Cap, Canada writes: Biovail carved out a lucrative niche in the global pharmaceutical market by reformulating drugs to get into patients' bodies faster, often with just one pill a day, rather than several. "Some of these new drug delivery systems are just space age," declares Melnyk.

    Incorrect. The entire premise of a "controlled release" or "sustained release" drug is to get into the body slower, so that it doesn't get quickly broken down. This way the drug is continuously available at a stable level for a longer period of time.
