AGF suspends attractive loan program

The trust unit of AGF Management Ltd. has suspended an attractive loan program that has enabled many Canadians to plow money into mutual funds and other investments.
Starting Saturday, AGF Trust will no longer accept applications for investment loans where it provides 100-per-cent of the cash with no margin calls, and also RRSP loans except to select advisers, Lucy Becker, a spokeswoman for AGF Management, confirmed Friday.
