Aeroplan profit falls 31 per cent

MONTREAL — Third-quarter revenue rose by more than half for Groupe Aeroplan Inc. to $335-million but the loyalty-program operator said Friday its net income was cut 31 per cent to $35-million because of its conversion from an income trust into a taxable corporation. Aeroplan also announced it is changing its flight-reward booking fees, reducing the refund fee to $90 from $135 but raising the fee for changing a flight reward to $90 from $55.
