SEC charges Cuban over share sale

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission charged Dallas Mavericks owner and technology entrepreneur Mark Cuban yesterday with illegal insider trading in connection with a stock sale in June, 2004.
The SEC alleged in documents that Mr. Cuban sold 600,000 shares of Montreal-based
Mamma.com Inc. – now known as
Copernic Inc. – after learning from executives that the Internet search engine company planned to make a public stock offering.
