Kim Yost wants to make the Brick chic. He's moving the epitome of the suburban big-box furniture store downtown and giving it a style makeover to go with the new neighbourhood. The retailer was a Canadian pioneer in the no-money-down, hard-sell furniture business, and its offerings – overstuffed sofas big enough to seat six and leather recliners with cup holders on the armrests – reflected its sprawling outlets and the growing families they catered to.
